Missing Chennai

What’s the coolest way to check the current time in some location? It’s as easy as Googling it out. For example, current time in Madrid.

Searching for “time cityname” gives you the result for most cities around the world.

But, guess what? Chennai is missing!

I know that all Indian cities follow the same Indian Standard Time, but how is someone from another country supposed to know that?

Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, and Calcutta covered. Chennai and Mumbai is not recognised. I don’t exactly know how this works, but I would think surprising omissions nevertheless. I wonder how this works.

lol. Our city is indeed missing. At first I thought it listed only the capitals of countries. But when no result came for Dhaka, my theory was proved wrong. Surprisingly Karachi and Islamabad fetch results but Dhaka doesn’t. Wonder what the parameters were for including a city…

And out of random curiosity, how did you stumble on my blog? And don’t say Google Search… ;)

I still have no idea how it works.

And no, not via Google, I believe it was through a complicated combination of bloghopping!
